I am a Registered Dietitian with a Master's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, and I have been a part of the local nutrition community in west Texas since 2016 when I joined the local non-profit Healthy City. Along with being an RD, I am certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell and in Plant-Based Cooking through the Rouxbe Cooking School.
As a working mom, I know how hard it can be to prioritize healthy eating. I also know how many of us want to eat better and want our families to eat healthy too. Let me show you how you and your loved ones can use food to be healthier, happier, and well.
I provide evidence-based nutrition information to help maximize the health of women and their families throughout the life-cycle.

While I see any type of client, I want women to understand how important nutrition is for their health and the health of their families.
For reproductive-age women, I want you to know that the first 1000 days of life (preconception, pregnancy, post partum, to age 2 years), is THE most important time in terms of health. What you eat when trying to conceive, while pregnant, breastfeeding, and how you feed your baby until their 2nd birthday impacts their epigenetics, which can influence their risk of many diseases throughout the rest of their lives. It is also a crucial period for them to help develop their palates and overall relationship with food.
For older women or those finished creating their families I want you to understand that food and our (and our kids') relationship with food is crucial for physical and mental wellbeing. Many diseases can also be prevented, treated, and reversed through a healthy eating pattern rather than sole reliance on medications.
I am licensed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the state of Texas to practice nutrition. I had to complete hundreds of supervised practice hours and sit for a national exam after my formal degree program in order to become registered. This experience will help me to tailor personalized nutrition for your needs according to the latest evidence-based nutrition science.
Numerous evidence-based research shows we experience many heath benefits when we eat a plant predominant ("forward") plate, making whole plant foods the center of our diets. This way of eating can naturally help treat and even prevent many chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, autoimmune issues, obesity, etc.
No! I accept clients with any type of eating pattern, whether omnivore, flexitarian, plant-based, vegan, gluten-free or something else. I meet you where you are at in your dietary journey.
I don't provide set meal plans in my practice. However, I am able to teach you how to plan and cook your own meals, modify dishes you already eat, and find new dishes to try. I also offer cooking demonstrations.
I can accept most HSAs, FSAs, and self-pay. I currently do not accept insurance, however, if you have a medical referral, I can provide paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
